I am one of South Africa’s most accomplished lighting designers and have established a successful career as technical director and production manager with over 25 years of experience, working both domestically and internationally, including Del Liceu, Teatro Colón, National de Bordeaux, Teatro Real, English National Opera, Festival Theatre and Wiesbaden Staatstheater. As technical director of Cape Town Opera I have managed the international touring of main stage productions across 5 continents and overseen all company productions at the Artscape Opera House. I have been responsible for major live televised productions at UNESCO world heritage sites, including Tropaeum Alpium, Monaco and Robben Island, South Africa. I am a respected educator who wrote the technical syllabus for the University of Stellenbosch and established the Technical Training Academy for the Artscape Opera House. I am passionate about the craft of creating the theatrical experience, I continue to explore new opportunities to collaborate with the finest performance venues and top production companies.
